Systematic Bacteriology and the Bacteriology and Applied 
Microbiology Division of the International Union of 
Microbiological Societies

IJSB publishes papers dealing with all phases of the 
systematics of bacteria, yeasts and yeast-like organisms, 
including taxonomy, nomenclature, identification, phylogeny, 
evolution, biodiversity, characterization and culture 
preservation. JSB is published by the Society for General 
Microbiology (SGM), a learned society that promotes 
microbiology at all levels.

During the free trial period, all users of the internet have 
access to the full content of the journal online. The free 
trial period ends on or after 1 September 1999. After the 
free trial period, access to full text will be limited to
subscribers only  but access to tables of contents and 
abstracts, and the ability to search full text, will 
continue to be available to the public. 

Once the free trial period ends, institutions that subscribe 
to the journal in print will be able to activate an online 
subscription for their location by entering IP addresses  
online access will be included in the subscription price.
