International Journal of Pavement Engineering

http://www.tandf.co.uk/journals/titles/10298436.asp

Publisher: Spon Press

Pavement Engineering lies at the heart of modern society in both
technologically advanced and developing countries. Delivery of goods and
services to markets and consumers depends on the provision of reliable road
surfaces, airport runways, dock-sides and storage yards.

This international journal is dedicated to this important type of
construction, its performance, maintenance and component materials. The
Journal publishes the latest research findings from across the world
together with case records of successful (and not-so-successful) usage and
performance. (By this means, the journal aims to bring together and
disseminate results of research and practice from one country to another).

Occasionally, there will be state-of-the-art reviews on pavement engineering
aiming to transfer advanced pavement understanding to the user community.
All aspects of design, materials, performance, maintenance, testing and
rehabilitation are included.

The journal publishes papers on the following topics:

    * Pavements for roads, airports, docks and railways (track & ballast)
    * Flexible (asphaltic), rigid (concrete), block and composite pavements
    * Pavement construction, design and performance
    * Pavement materials - formulation, performance, laboratory testing
    * Pavement condition assessment, in-situ testing and evaluation
    * Pavement maintenance and management
    * Pavement rehabilitation and material recycling
    * Pavement geotechnics and drainage
    * Environmental issues associated with pavement materials and drainage
    * Economics of materials and construction
    * Pavement construction/re-construction plant
    * Pavement - vehicle interaction.

Papers published in these areas will be: practitionersą detailed records of
construction and performance (case studies); academic research studies;
state-of-the-art reviews by invited authors; symposia in print; technical
notes (brief papers on one point); and discussion.
